Overview Of Acne
Acne is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles that block the oil and dead skin cells. It frequently causes whiteheads, blackheads or pimples and usually appears on the face, forehead, chest, upper back and shoulders. Acne is most common among teenagers, though it affects people of all ages. Acne lesions are most common on the face, but they can also occur on the neck, chest, back, shoulders and upper arms.
Both types of clogged pores can develop into swollen, tender inflammations or pimples or deeper lumps or nodules. Nodules associated with severe cases of acne (cystic acne) are firm swellings below the skin’s surface that become inflamed, tender and sometimes infected.
